A single mother of two beautiful children
— one born from my womb, one born from my heart —
Both of whom are my answered prayers, and I love them dearly.
I view my life as a painting…starting with a blank canvas and each event that happens in my life adds a stroke, or two, and colour to it. I must admit that it’s not always a pretty picture — sometimes it gets smudged, other times there are bad strokes. All I hope for is that when I’m old and look back at this life painting, I will see the bright colours and beautiful pictures that focus on all that was good in my life, while recalling the darker moments and how I overcame those rough times and became stronger.
This blog was created in the hopes that I may share my parenting journey with others… if what I write helps or inspires just one other person, that’s good enough for me.
I won’t say that what I go through is unique as I’m sure most parents go through the same challenges raising their children. What I hope to share is my perspective, my experiences; as well as the joy and stress that I face bringing up my kids solo.
